They make great touring wheels and I’ve got lots of them. Their 24 mm profile really lets the tire bead spread out and form a nice round tire shape. The machined sidewalls provide a better braking surface or if you’ve made the switch to disc brakes they can do that too. Also, at just over 500 gr they are lighter and just as strong as other brands alloy touring rims. Complete wheelset prices vary since I can build these up with any number of hubs from Shimano to Chris King to fit your budget. If all that’s not enough, they are also made in Velocity’s U.S. factory. I’ve got them in black and silver for $60 each while supplies last.
