You are looking at the DT Swiss RWS thru bolt (not to be confused with a thru axle) next to a standard 5mm skewer. The RWS is a 9mm front and 10 mm rear skewer that is compatiable with current fork and frame dropouts. The RWS is more thru axle than skewer though. Available on selected hubsets.
