Handbuilt road tubeless wheels by MLW
Tires and tire pressure make a big difference in the way any bike rides. I’ve had some time to experiment with tire pressure on my new tubeless road wheels. I’m using 25mm wide Hutchinson Intensive tires. Max is 115psi. For my 150lbs 65psi feels really comfy. For comparison I like 23mm tubed tires at 90psi. I’ll drop 5psi for a 25mm tire. Any lower and I feel the risk of pinch flatting. Not with the tubeless though, and there’s no flats from the goatheads that get the others. The system works. Don’t be afraid to try the Kool-Aid.
